When you combine the features of a highly refined trigger, improved sear assembly, and reduced lock time it allows for easier development of Neural Pathway Performance by improving the tactile interface between the user and their weapon system.
 
IMPROVEMENT AREAS:
 
SEAR:
The standard sear is manufactured as a MIM part. During this Metal Injection Mold process a MIM line runs across the bearing surface of the sear. This causes inconsistencies in trigger pull weight, smoothness, and overall reliability.
 
KGM started by improving the material used in manufacturing the sear. Using hardened Steel, we can extend the sear’s life cycle. By re-designing the sear geometry and micro polishing the bearing surfaces our sear provides predictable and reliable performance improvement over the standard OEM sear, time and time again.
 
TRIGGER:
The standard curved trigger shoe features less than optimal ergonomics, inconsistent trigger pull and a long trigger reset.
 
The trigger is the last physical interface with the weapon system. Our trigger features a flat face profile, radiused edges, and the shortest possible reset point. Yielding the smoothest trigger available on the market while retaining all standard factory safety features.
 
STRIKER:
The standard striker has known weak/failure points that can cause premature part failure. This results in a deadlines/unusable pistol when you need it the most.
 
By utilizing hardened steel over the OEM mim process allows for an exponentially longer life cycle and will reduce any possibilities of premature part failure. The KGM sear also reduces lock and improves the systems overall feel.
 
PULL WEIGHT:
Standard M17/M18/P320 pull weights can vary from 5.5-6.8 pounds of total pull weight. This inconsistency paired with the coarse sear travel make the standard OEM trigger package less than ideal for consistent end-user performance
 
The KGM ETP will provide drop test safe performance down to a 3.5 lbs trigger pull. Depending on your spring configuration the ETP can insure the same trigger pull consistency from 3.5lbs – 6lbs without any issues.
 
KGM trigger kits are made of S7 material and treated with our proprietary OXyN™ process. This makes for harder, more reliable metals with inherent corrosion resistance and the lowest possible coefficient of friction.
